Ottawa Citizen: No Solitudes Here: Kristine St-Pierre delivers soul-searching songs in both languages
by/par Lynn Saxberg - 10.11.12

"Her feelings are reflected in Lake Superior, a soul-searching gem of a song in which she finds her purpose on the shores of the great lake. A similar follow-your-dreams spirit propels the title track, a soft-spoken but strong-willed folky number that features St-Pierre’s soaring voice and slide-guitar accompaniment. The lush French version is layered with cello and extra harmonies."

"An immediate recollection of..Nous Sommes Dan le Meme Bateau..passed through my mind. I randomly selected tracks and found that St. Pierre*s voice changed with each..sometimes beyond recognition..difficult to do. As noted..perhaps the loveliest indie voice I have heard..so far. Songwriting...extraordinary. There must be a gap in the promotion and the subsequent awareness of this unknown artist." Dan Donaldson

"Just wanted you to know that you blew our socks off today! You definitely have the talent, the personality and the beauty (inner and outer!)to go places. You have quality written all over you and we are so happy to have gotten to know you."

"Congratulations on putting on an excellent CD release show. The venue was great, the sound was great, the musicians were great and the star was awesome and the handsome man giving away the prizes made all the behind-the-scenes madness in detectable to us on the audience."

"I hope everyone bought a CD and your sales go viral. I hope everyone tells the world about what they witnessed today."

"Wow.... what a fab show last night. I could tell you put your heart and soul into planning every bit of it. It was engaging, thought provoking, musically beautiful, fun and highly entertaining. I wish more performers would put so as much thought into planning their shows."

"By all indicators, it was a great show. Well-planned; well-executed; and obviously well-attended. Your performance of LAKE SUPERIOR with the assembled musicians was inspiring; I got goose-flesh several times, and that doesn’t happen very often."
